To achieve higher rated power by terminal temperature regulation

KOA's pulse-resistant chip resistors SG73P and surge-resistant chip resistors SG73S have expanded the rated power based on the revised terminal part temperature specifications.
The higher rated power of all sizes from 0402 inch to 1210 inch  has been increased, such as guaranteeing the rated power of 0.75 W for the 0805 inch size. The category power*¹ enables high power application even at high temperatures, which leads the 0805 inch size to be appled up to 0.375 W at 155°C.
The rated power is higher than that of general-purpose chip resistors (RK73 series), which contributes to miniaturization of circuits and reduction of the number of products.
